Question by Maryah: MY iPHONE IS FREAKING OUT!!! PLEASE HELP ME!!?
Today has been the worst in my life.

So, I had my iPhone charging in the bathroom because i had no other outlet available. My kitten apparently sauntered into the bathroom and curiously knocked the iPhone into the toilet. (I was right outside the bathroom, in my room, the bathroom is in my room). As soon as I heard the PLOP! I ran into the bathroom. I took it out of the charger. My iphone was in the toilet, and it had a rubber case and a phone charm on it. I grabbed it out of the toilet and ripped the rubber case off like it was a band aid. As soon as I turned on the phone it said, “This accessory is not optimized for the iPhone.” and “Charging is not supported with this accessory.” I went to youtube, and the sound wouldn’t work. When I tried to turn up the volume, it aid, “Volume (headphones)” when I didn’t have headphones plugged in. Then, i plugged in my earbuds and it said, “Volume”. So my phones sound wont work. I took it downstairs and plugged it into iTunes, and the phone said, “Charging is not supported with this accessory. ” I took it out of iTunes and the phone started to say”This accessory is not optimized for the iPhone” LITERALLY every 3 seconds. Now the phone also keeps randomly saying, “Voice Control” and showing the blue sound wave screen. Then it goes to the lock screen and says, “This accessory is not optimized for the iPhone.” Also, when I turn off the iPhone, it turns on by itself and changes screens from, “Voice Control”, “This accessory is not optimized for the iPhone”, and “Charging is not supported with this accessory.” The phone is also calling random Contacts by itself.
I do NOT want to jailbreak the phone, restore it, or anything that has to do with deleting anything. Can the Apple Store help me? How do I get the water out?
PLEASE HELP ME!

turn it off. put it in a bag of uncooked rice for 2-3 days. that should remove the water. never ever turn an electrical gadget on immediately after it has gotten wet.

Rule 1 of wet phones is DON’T TURN IT ON. Nice work.

Remove the sim tray and submerge the phone in a covered container of rice. Leave it there for a few days. While it’s really doubtful this will work, it’s the only chance you have. If it doesn’t work, you need a new phone.
