Apple stopped giving out the free “bumper” cases on September 30th…does that somehow imply that they have fixed the antenna problem on iPhones released in October 2010 and forward?

No, it won’t be fixed until the 4gs comes out.

  1. Sam says:

Nope. Basically, for those who purchased the iPhone before the antenna issue became widespread knowledge, they offered a bumper for free. But now anyone who purchases an iPhone is expected to know about the antenna issue, and so they don’t offer bumpers for free anymore. I get the sense that they would rather move on from the issue instead of attempting to fix the antenna, which would potentially reinvigorate criticism. And, they might as well start getting working on the iPhone 5.
